(More)…]]> Summer Fun is fantastic free programme run by Community Coordinators across North Shore City. These weekly events take place at various times and venues – Birkenhead/ Nothcote, Glenfield, Takapuna, Albany, Devonport and the East Coast Bays.

My 10 month old and I went to our first event, held at Normanton Reserve, about two weeks ago. There were a good selection of toys and play areas for young babies right through to toddlers. We had a great time. It is also good place to meet other mums or catch up with your coffee group.

As these events are held outdoors, don’t forget to bring along a picnic rug, hats, sunscreen, water and snacks.
