For a change it was not depressing unlike some operas – where you come of the show feeling completely drained.

The Marriage of Figaro is comedy. The action happens in a single crazy day of schemes and seductions. Figaro and Susanna’s love and fidelity are tested to the limit while preparing for their wedding day. The couple scheme to outwit Count Almaviva, a philanderer who neglects his wife (the countess) – he has designs on Susanna. There is also love-struck teenager, a scheming old maid, a drunken gardener, and a silly young girl to add to the comedic action.
