Ingredients:

1 egg

1 slice bread (white or brown)

2 tbsps milk

1/2 tspn butter

pinch of salt (optional)

Preparation:

Beat egg with milk (add pinch of salt). Soak bread in mixture. Heat pan and melt butter. Take bread out of mixture and place into pan. Cook until golden (on both sides).

Comments:

Add a pinch of salt for older children – for taste (but this is optional). I have found that it wasn’t required.

Slice into fingers or cubes. Serve with fruits on the side (optional).

This recipe is great for a easy and quick lunch (for a child 8 months and over).
