As much as I love the convenience of ordering organic vegetables and fruits, and having it delivered to my front door – there is something really satisfying about growing and harvesting your own.

Last year, I decided to get back into gardening – to grow my own vegies and tend to my neglected  fruit trees. I have been rewarded with good haul of Beans, Plums, Pumpkins, Cocktails and Roma Tomatoes, Perpetual Spinach, Silverbeet and soon Feijoas.

I ended up sharing my harvest with neighbours, family and friends. In return I’ve been givens Figs,  Apples, Lemons, Oranges, Feijoas and Chokos. All homegrown. How awesome is that?!

Not only do I have fresh produce. I also get to spend time with my son who has great fun helping me pick tomatoes and sometimes squishing them in the palm of his little hands.  He loves ‘helping’ mummy in the garden :)
